After more than a month preparation, General Manager Zhang with his team 2person went to Changchun Jilin University and visited Dean fangwu Ma and his team on Sep.10.Two parties held a advanced talk about GATZ auto parts R&D center and made great progress.

Dean fangwu Ma graduated from London University and now he is a doctoral supervisor of Jilin University, country "thousand person plan" distinguished Professor, executive director of Qingdao Automotive Research Institute of China. The visiting just after Teacher's Day and Dean Ma has just been a guest of CCTV "what a big tree - special program for 2017 Teachers' Day " to accept a interview from CCTV famous host Zhu Xun and just came back to Changchun.

On 9AM Sep.11, the reception conference was held in Dean's office. Present at the meeting of Jilin University automotive engineering were Dean Ma, teacher Yongfeng Pu (business cooperation, carbon fiber representative, Dr. Kai Dai (meeting arrangement and recording), automotive lightweight team: Dr. Lu Han (bio-based materials representative), Dr. Hongyu Liang (micro structure representative), Dr. Xiangyu Wu(3D printing representatives) and other student representatives of Master and Doctor.

General Manager Zhang first introduced the Taicang GATZ basic situation and development plan in the future and then introduced the creation background of auto parts R&D center, development projects, R&D requirements, service standards and the future direction of development. And then Dean Ma introduced the research field, major achievements in scientific research, the State Key Laboratory and other situations of Jilin University.

Dean Ma said: "Jilin University was established in the same period with Chinese FAW. It has 6 academicians and it’s a 211, 985 university with a State Key Laboratory, more than 100 3D printing equipments and material laboratory." He focused on key technology of carbon fiber, biological base and microstructure three new materials and development prospect and cost control plan. Bio-based materials are lactic acid extracted from corn (maize), the natural starch, add a long fiber to increase its strength and toughness. This material is safe and non-toxic, recyclable, automatic degradation, regeneration many times and other advantages which can completely replace the traditional PP material. BAIC, FAW and DFAC are all interested in it.

Dean Ma said that, about the car lightweight, the state requires car weight loss of more than 25% in 4years.For the use of automotive natural materials, the EU standard requires more than 15%. Coconut shells and corn stalks contain the best lactic acid, and 1/5 of material products come from grain in German. If we can do well in above projects, the prospect is very impressive. Microstructure materials have an explosive development. The representative is air brick which is warm and light. The microstructure is used for tanks to absorb and break down energy. It also can be used in vehicle body to absorb sound or let sound pass. It can be realized just change the structure.

Dr. Dai showed us the 707 lightweight laboratory digital design and 105 lightweight experimental equipment of Jilin University after two sides introduction. He explained the manufacturing process of carbon fiber, the use of 3D printing equipments and the research projects of the new energy automotive vehicle group in the future.

After lunch, we went to Jilin University Lintian Yuanda Image Group Co., Ltd--national cultural industry demonstration base in High-tech Development Zone in Changchun City. Dean Ma recommended Group Chairman Mr. Xiseng Lin to us. We visited the marking company of Yuanda Group (innovation and manufacture), creative group (creative Center), virtual reality (the integration of science and technology ) and other plates. Dean Ma is an adviser of Yuanda Group and he is also Chairman Lin’s close friend. During the period, Chairman Lin introduced 30 years development process of marking company and the achievements in past two years in innovation leading, personnel training, transformation of scientific and technological achievements and enterprise transformation and upgrading.

The layout of office, reception room, exhibition room, conference room, dining room and other places in Lintian Yuanda Image Group all present master’s craftsmanship in design and culture. The cultural connotation of automobile penetrated into every corner of life and we were shocked and inspired while in the enjoyment. Chairman Lin agreed with our plan and imagine after he got the purpose of our visit and he also give pertinent opinions and suggestions to GATZ’s development prospects. GATZ is a company to manufacture vehicle mark, we just do fine and fine, make the brand well-known all over the world. Chairman Lin was very willing to cooperate with us and said: "Lintian Yuanda provides big mark for after-sales , GATZ provides vehicle mark, we two companies have no conflict and can complement each other." ."Before leaving, Chairman Lin guide us to their mark production workshops which are in reconstruction and the samples shows plans and future prospects.
